Senior Full-Stack Engineer, Automation & AI

We're Compass Regulatory — building the regulatory operating system for the industries we serve. A huge share of our customers' work still happens on PDFs, email threads, and state portals. We use AI, automation, and thoughtful software to take that work off their plate.

What you'll do.

• Design and ship AI-powered automations that replace manual regulatory work — from label extraction to submission generation.
• Build agents, evaluators, and supporting tooling that turn LLMs into reliable production systems.
• Partner with regulatory specialists to turn their tacit expertise into repeatable, auditable workflows.
• Graduate experiments into stable features — with the tests, observability, and guardrails to keep them trustworthy.
• Help define how we build with AI: what we use off-the-shelf, what we build, and how we measure quality.

You'll thrive here if you have.

• 6+ years shipping production software across the full stack.
• Practical experience with modern LLM APIs, agent patterns, and evaluation.
• Strong judgment about where probabilistic systems help — and where they don't.
• A taste for building reliable systems around unreliable components.
• Comfort owning ambiguous problems end-to-end alongside domain experts.
